The 8th edition of MEDICAL FAIR THAILAND was officially opened this morning by Dr. Natchanapong Vajiravongburi (Center), Inspector General, Ministry of Science and Technology. The 3-day exhibition at Queen Sirikit National Convention Center is the largest of its kind in the Southeast Asian region with a record-breaking exhibitor participation and international representation led by 18 national pavilions and country groups. Set against a backdrop where the government’s economic development plan under Thailand 4.0 has earmarked the medical sector as a whole (medical tourism and medical hub under S Curve) as one of the country’s key growth engines to accelerate Thailand’s future growth, MEDICAL FAIR THAILAND is a must-attend sourcing and procurement event intended to boost the country’s medical technology capabilities.

MEDICAL FAIR THAILAND 2017 will be its largest edition yet, with booth space fully sold out since May, featuring 700 exhibitors from 45 countries including 18 National Pavilions and country groups on a show floor that has expanded by 20% compared to 2015, at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center.

The 8th edition of MEDICAL FAIR THAILAND, the leading medical and healthcare event in Thailand and the region, will take place at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre (QSNCC) in Bangkok, Thailand from 6 - 8 September 2017.
MEDICAL FAIR THAILAND Continues To Attract International Interest
The global footprint of MEDICAL FAIR THAILAND 2015 was firmly fortified as the 7th edition of Southeast Asia's most established medical and health care event that came to a close on 12 September with 7,226 trade visitors from 59 countries. The 3-day exhibition which focused on hospital, diagnostic, pharmaceutical, medical and rehabilitation equipment and supplies, welcomed 600 exhibitors from 42 countries including 15 national pavilions and country groups from Austria, Belgium, China, France, Germany, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, UK and for the first time the USA, Turkey and Italy. The internationality of the exhibition was further reflected in the number of visitors, an increase of 13% compared to the last edition in 2013. 34% of the overall visitors came from overseas, mainly from ASEAN countries such as Singapore, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines and Vietnam, as well as other Asian countries including China, India, Japan and Taiwan.
