James Lee is a seasoned executive with over 20 years of leadership experience in the medical device industry, with a particular focus on AI-powered medical imaging, in-vitro diagnostics (IVD), and respiratory care. He currently serves as Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of Business Development at V5med Inc., where he leads global commercialization strategies and clinical collaborations for the company’s FDA-approved AI software for low-dose CT lung cancer screening.
Throughout his career, James has held executive roles in leading medtech companies including AmCad BioMed, PlexBio, GaleMed, and V5 Technologies. He has successfully developed go-to-market strategies, built global distribution networks across more than 50 countries, and negotiated licensing agreements that have accelerated the international adoption of advanced diagnostic technologies.
James holds an MBA from the University of Houston and has cultivated strong expertise in strategic partnerships, regulatory pathways, and cross-border clinical validation. He has led numerous collaborations with prestigious institutions worldwide, including Stanford University, Tata Memorial Hospital, Germans Trias i Pujol Hospital, and National Taiwan University Hospital.
His leadership has helped bridge innovation with clinical practice, promoting the integration of AI in medical imaging across diverse healthcare systems. Most recently, Hung-Lin successfully completed a major project with Boston Scientific on the cystoscopy device “VersaVue Scope.”
Before joining MiiS, he earned a Master’s degree in Human Movement Sciences from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and accumulated over five years of experience as an occupational therapist in Taiwan.
